Buyer Details

Denver-based, First Western Investment Management (FWIM) is the in-house investment management company, created to offer Wall Street-quality investment services exclusively to First Western Trust Bank clients. FWIM provides the research, analysis, investment strategies, buy/sell processes, — everything one would find in the country's largest investment houses.

Transaction Summary

First Western Investment Management announced an agreement to acquire the assets of Financial Management Advisors, LLC (FMA), a Los Angeles-based independent registered investment advisor.

The transaction more than doubles the investment capabilities of First Western, which currently manages approximately $1.4 billion in assets for private clients. Malamed will stay on as chairman of the Los Angeles office.
