Mr. von Stauffenberg joined Berkshire Capital in 2004 as an Advisory Director and in 2008 assumed the responsibility of heading the International subsidiary which operates from London.
Prior to joining Berkshire Capital, Patrick was the founding Partner and Chief Executive of Stauffenberg & Partner GmbH, a joint venture with the Otto Group, Cologne, between 1991 and 2001. The company created, placed and administered tax-leveraged leasing funds and provided financial advisory services.
In 1989, Patrick was Director at Lombard Odier (UK) Ltd., where he worked on Austrian business development. Between 1984 and 1989, he established and managed the London operation of Swiss Volksbank, overseeing its significant growth. Prior to that, he headed the international operations of Vereinsbank Hamburg, Germany.
Between 1979 and 1983, Patrick established and ran Bayerische Hypothekenbank’s first international branch office in London. From 1973 to 1979, Patrick was a member of the international corporate finance team at N.M. Rothschild & Sons Ltd. in London, where he focused on business development in Germany and Austria, and worked on a broad range of cross border projects.
Patrick received a Lic. Occ. at St. Gallen in Switzerland, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He served as a Lieutenant with the Scouts in the German Army.
